Colourblind have worked with RÜFÜS DU SOL as lighting designers and video programmers since 2014. Working in close collaboration with the band, we have crafted a unique and striking visual identity.
For the ‘Solace’ album cycle, we were tasked with creating a memorable visual concept that would encompass the stage. This was realised with a large LED structure consisting of contrasting angles and clean parallel lines of fixtures. At the bands 2019 Coachella performance, the show was further enhanced with automated overhead video panels, bringing together lighting, video, automation, staging, SFX, and set design to work in lockstep and provide a rich sense of depth and an inescapable visual identity.
